What is a belt feeders?

Belt weighing feeder:

Belt weighing feeder is an equipment for continuous conveying and metering of bulk materials. It has the characteristics of continuous feeding and dynamic weighing. In addition, the weighing feeder is also equipped with an environmental protection structure to effectively prevent the dust overflow and protect the environment.

When the belt weighing feeder is running, the materials are transferred to the feeder. And a metering device is installed at the bottom of the feeder. Under the operation of the conveyor belt, the voltage signal of a belt load is generated and transmitted to the integrator to accumulate the weight value.

Belt quantitative feeder:

The belt quantitative feeder is suitable for conveying all kinds of block, granular and dust materials, such as limestone, cement, etc.

The belt quantitative feeder automatically adjusts the self weight of the belt, transmits the conveyor load and speed signals to the measurement, control and adjustment system controlled by the microprocessor for processing, and constantly compares the actual feeding rate with the set feeding rate, so as to control the speed of the conveyor belt and keep the feeder at a constant level.

After receiving the command, the shaft of the belt quantitative feeder rotates to make the belt run and transport materials. The body adjusts the belt speed, and the material quantity on the belt locks the target value to achieve quantitative feeding.

How does the belt feeder work?

The belt feeder enters the material in the silo into the guide chute through the connecting section and falls on the conveyor belt. When the conveyor belt is stationary, the material finally stops moving by internal friction ,which forms a static accumulation at a certain angle at the discharge port;

When the driving roller starts to rotate under the drive of external power that drives the belt to move. And the belt drives the materials on it to the discharge port. The running belt turns back at the discharge buckle, and the materials are continuously discharged from the discharge port, so as to complete the feeding process.

The sealing device provides sealing for the materials leaked from the gap between the guide groove and the adhesive tape. And the feeding amount can be changed by adjusting the motor speed.

In operation, the feeder conveyor is mainly supported by rolling bearings, which with small operation assistance. The driving power required by the equipment is small and the working life of each component of the system is long.

What are the advantage of the feeder conveyor ?

Protect environment; The grooving between the belt feeder and the idler is good so that there is a good sealing between the pouring groove and the belt.

Large and stable conveying; The belt feeder will be equipped with a feeding chute to increase the transportation volume of the feeder itself and improve the transportation efficiency.

What are the common problems and measures ?

Heating of moving parts: regularly check the wear degree of all rotating parts and replace them in time.

The driving roller does not move. Clean the rolling bearing and replace the lubricating oil.

Abnormal sound. Check whether the parts are loose or abnormal.
