Determination of roller diameter

The diameter of the roller directly affects the additional bending stress of the conveyor belt. When it passes through the roller and the specific pressure of the conveyor belt on the roller. Generally, the following factors are mainly considered in selecting the drum diameter:

  • Bending stress of the conveyor belt when the conveyor belt bypasses the roller.
  • Frequency of conveyor belt bending.

  • Installation location and service conditions of conveyor.

Outer diameter of roller body

Shaft length

Additional considerations for existing conveyors

The tensioning device shall be arranged at the place with the minimum tension of the conveyor belt as far as possible, so that the winding in and winding out directions of the conveyor belt in the tensioning roller are parallel to the displacement line of the conveyor rollers, and the applied tensioning force passes through the center of the roller.

The model of the roller bearing on the conveyor rollers shaft shall be selected according to the roller bearing with large load.

The bearings in the roller are lubricated with grease.

The brake adopts hydraulic electromagnetic brake shoe brake, which can be used for upward, horizontal or downward belt conveyor.
